Basic information

Aqueous solution of Sulfamic acid has the same strong acid as hydrochloric acid,sulfuric acid,so the nickname is also called solid sulfuric acid, it has the characteristics of non-volatilization, no odor and small toxicity to human body. Dust or solution is irritating to eyes and skin and can cause burns. The maximum allowable concentration is 10 mg/m3. Sulfamic acid can be used in the synthesis of herbicides,fire retardants,sweeteners,preservatives, metal cleaners,etc.,and is a common chemical raw material.

Application

1. Cleaning Agent

Sulfamic acid cleaning agent has a wide range of applications and can be used for cleaning boilers,condensers,heat exchangers,jackets,and chemical pipelines.

2. Textile Industry

Sulfamic acid can be used as an eliminator for excessive nitrite in diazotization reactions in the dye industry,a color fixative for textile dyeing,to form a fireproof layer on textiles,and also to produce yarn cleaning agents and other auxiliaries in the textile industry

3. Papermaking Industry

Sulfamic acid can be used as a bleaching agent,which can reduce or eliminate the catalytic effect of heavy metal ions in the bleaching solution,thereby ensuring the quality of the bleaching solution. It can also reduce the oxidation and degradation of fibers by metal ions,prevent the peeling reaction of fibers, and improve the strength and whiteness of the pulp.

4. Petroleum Industry

Sulfamic acid can be used to remove blockages in oil layers and increase the permeability of the oil layers. Injecting the aminosulfonic acid solution into the carbonate rock oil-producing layer can avoid the deposition of salts formed during the reaction,thereby doubling the oil production.

5. Agriculture

Sulfamic acid were originally developed as herbicides. It is claimed that when applied directly to plants,it has a toxic effect; while when applied to the soil,it has a male-killing effect.
