Cobalt carbonate, with a pink, rose red or light red crystalline powder appearance, partially in the form of hexagonal crystals with a density of about 4.13g/cm ³. When heated above 400 ℃, it decomposes into cobalt oxide, carbon dioxide and water, with stable chemical properties. It is insoluble in water and ethanol, difficult to dissolve in ammonia water, easily soluble in dilute acid and releases carbon dioxide. It reacts with strong alkaline solutions to produce cobalt hydroxide precipitate, exhibiting precise chemical response characteristics.
